Choose to Connect
Developed by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka Ed.D and Lynn Jessen M.A.
- Bend down, look into your child’s eyes, smile and say, “Good morning my precious child!” (Even if this a day you feel like you are faking it, try it.)
- Sit down and eat breakfast together.
- Give a hug, kiss or high five to one another when you say “Goodbye.”
- Turn off your phone, take a deep breath, slow down, stop to focus. Give your child your full attention when you reunite at the end of the day.
- Say “Good night. Sleep tight. I love you.”
Intentional points of connection distributed throughout the day keep us working together and allows our love to grow.
